Dr.Kate Roberts is a child  and family psychologist and coach, with over 25 years of experience. She is a well-known expert in the field of families, including parents, couples, and child psychology, and has published a number of articles in professional journals and writes a bi-weekly parenting column in the Salem News; Dr. Kate’s Parent Rap. Dr. Kate’s unique coaching practice  emphasizes  state of the art, targeted strategies that help parents, help their children. Her coaching model helps guide parents through the unexpected glitches of today’s ultra crazed, fast paced everyday life. Her focused solutions take the stress out of over scheduled and bring a smoothness to even the bumpiest transitions. Her technology detox program for children addresses the potential for technology addiction in children by working intensively with families while they eliminate technology use and substitute new behaviors for the technology addiction. By addressing tech use in the entire family, Dr. Kate is able to achieve better results with greater sustainability. Dr. Kate is a well-known expert in the field of parenting and has done over 60 interviews with newspapers and the local television news affiliates of ABC, NBC and CBS. Dr.Kate completed her undergraduate degree in psychology from Boston University in 1985 and her doctorate in clinical psychology from University of Rhode Island in 1992. She completed her pre and postdoctoral training at Brown University and Butler and Bradley Hospitals. Dr.Kate has worked as a consulting psychologist to school districts throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  She has held a faculty position at the Brown University Medical School, Department of Psychiatry as a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry. Currently Dr. Kate works full time coaching children and families in her private practice on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
